Democracy FCU's New Executive Vice President
Alexandria, 5/24/2023 - Democracy Federal Credit Union (FCU) is thrilled to announce the promotion of Mrs. Andrena Smith to the esteemed position of Executive Vice President. With a steadfast dedication to helping people and an impressive track record of exemplary service, Mrs. Smith is undoubtedly an integral part of Democracy’s success story, but also poised to lead the organization to new heights of member service and community engagement.
Having joined Democracy FCU over three decades ago, Mrs. Smith has been a trailblazer in and out of the organization. Her diversity in leadership and strategic approach stems from her vast experience from several departments and position held, from: Loan Clerk, Security Control Officer/Loan Assistant, Loan Officer, Assistant Lending Manager, Lending Manager, and VP of Operation, and Certified Financial Counselor. Most recently, in April 2023, she was promoted to Executive Vice President.
As Executive Vice President, Mrs. Smith will spearhead the credit union's strategic initiatives, driving forward their mission to provide members with unparalleled financial products, services, and experiences. Her astute leadership, visionary mindset, and ability to cultivate a culture of collaboration and excellence will undoubtedly strengthen their commitment to serving members and the community with utmost dedication.

She firmly believes in never judging a book by its cover, recognizing the importance of giving everyone a fair chance.
Although originally from South Carolina, Mrs. Smith considers the place where she both serves and builds lasting relationship with others, home. She is an avid traveler, a sports fanatic of all sports, and regularly volunteers her time partners with local Credit Union Associations and affiliates. Mrs. Smith discovered her true calling in the financial industry and has since dedicated her career to making a positive impact on people's lives.
