Neither Zelle nor Democracy Federal Credit Union offer a protection program for any authorized payment made with Zelle. If you don’t receive the goods or services you paid for, or if they are damaged or not what you expected, you will need to work with the seller to resolve your matter.
Select one of the forms below if you are attempting to resolve an error with a Zelle-related transaction.
Zelle Fraud/Unauthorized Transaction: Choose and complete this form to report a Zelle transaction that you did not initiate or authorize another person to initiate.
Zelle Transaction Dispute: Choose and use this form to report an error in the processing of a Zelle transaction that you initiated.
Type of Dispute
Before initiating a dispute, please attempt to cancel the transaction. You can cancel a payment if the person you sent the money to hasn’t yet enrolled with Zelle. To check whether the payment is still pending and can be canceled, you can log into your Online Banking account, select Transfer and Pay, and select Zelle. Then, on your activity page, choose the payment you want to cancel and then select “Cancel.” If the person you sent the money to has already enrolled in Zelle, the money is sent directly to their bank account and cannot be canceled.
